Since being named captain of the team in the offseason, Templeman has been one of the best offensive leaders for the Colonials, picking up seven goals and 18 assists for 25 points on the season, leading the team in both points and assists while also ranking third on the team in goals behind Michaela Boyle (9) and Anjelica Diffendal (8).
This honor comes just two weeks after she dished five assists in the team’s 8-0 rout over Sacred Heart, a career-high.
Templeman had a game to remember the last time the team played RIT, scoring a natural hat-trick in the first period of the team’s 7-0 trouncing of the Tigers.
The team played to a 13-7-1 record overall and an 11-7-1 record in the CHA this season with Templeman a big part of it.
Heading to the tournament, Templeman and the remaining seniors will look to claim their first CHA title as a group, and the program’s first since 2016. The RIT Tigers stand in against Robert Morris for a first-round matchup at 2 p.m. at Erie Insurance Arena.
