Robert Morris softball standout Madison DeVault was tabbed as Pitcher of the Week for the Horizon League Tuesday afternoon.
DeVault lit up the stat sheet this week as she recorded a 0.58 earned run average and 22 strikeouts in 12 innings this week. She only allowed four hits in her two appearances and posted a 1-0 record along with five no-hit innings against the Green Bay Phoenix on Friday.
She had a career high 13 strikeouts Friday’s 4-2 over the Phoenix. The senior pitcher from Dover, Ohio recently reached 200 career strikeouts earlier in the month.
DeVault is putting together a great year as she is 4-4 on the year with a 3.21 earned run average. She has also put up 47 strikeouts in 48.0 innings this season.
DeVault was the second Colonial pitcher this season to receive the honor. Madelyn Coleman was won the award in the first week of the season.
DeVault and the Colonials will be taking on the Kent State Golden Flash, Tuesday, March 25 at 3 p.m in Kent, Ohio.
