Rodney Pryor’s late game bucket helped his team defeat the Knights and improve in the NEC standings

RMU 72 (8-19, NEC 6-8), Fairleigh Dickinson 70 (13-12, NEC 9-5): Robert Morris completed the season sweep of the Knights of Fairleigh Dickinson Saturday evening as they were able to break a late game tie and defeat FDU on the road in Hackensack, New Jersey. Robert Morris improved to 6-8 in conference play. The Colonials were down by three at halftime but outscored the Knights 44-39 in the second half to help them earn the victory. Rodney Pryor broke the tie at 69 with a little over one minute to play in regulation with a lay-up to give his team the two point edge, 71-69. FDU got within one point on a free throw with 46 seconds to play but junior Kavon Stewart increased RMU”s lead to two when he hit a free throw of his own with 23 seconds left. The Knights attempted a game winning three-point shot with two seconds left on the clock but the shot missed the basket and the Colonials held on for the win in enemy territory. Pryor led the Colonials with 27 total points. Junior’s Billy Giles and Kavon Stewart both finished with double-digit points along with Pryor as Giles totaled 18 points and Stewart with 11. RMU shot 45.0 percent from the field and 30.0percent from downtown.
