MOON TOWNSHIP– Earlier today, the Horizon League and Robert Morris athletics announced that Saturday’s men’s basketball game against Milwaukee has been canceled due to a positive COVID-19 test in the Robert Morris program.

It looked like the game was trending in the direction of being canceled last night because both senior guard Jon Williams and junior guard Dante Treacy were not on the bench for the team’s 67-64 win over the Panthers.

It seemed as that the Colonials were finally starting to hit their stride after playing three straight Horizon League conference games after splitting their first series against Purdue Fort Wayne and won the first game of what was to be a two-game set against Milwaukee.

This has now been the third time this season that the program has had to deal with COVID difficulties, whether it be a positive test or just simply concerns. This is now the seventh game this season that the team has had to cancel due to these issues.

There has been no word on if the team is pausing basketball operations due to the positive COVID-19 test, as the next conference series against IUPUI on January 8-9 has not been canceled as of now.

This has been yet another bump in the road for the Colonials.
