The home opener is set for Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. at Clearview Arena against Bowling Green State University. The Colonials’ first away game will be the following day at Bowling Green.

“We can’t wait until Oct. 7,” said Schooley. “It’s been a long time coming.”

The Colonials are set to play a 37-game slate, including a 26-game Atlantic Hockey conference season that kicks off Oct. 14 on the road at Mercyhurst.

RMU will have five straight home games to end in October and enter into November. The first four are conference games against Holy Cross and Bentley. The Colonials will play their lone exhibition game of the season against Simon Fraser on Nov. 4. They will make a cross-country trip in mid-November in 2023-24, playing in a two-game series at Alaska Anchorage for the first time.

Derek Schooley and his squad’s schedule has Minnesota marked on their calendar, making it the first time the Colonials have faced the Golden Gophers.

The team’s last home series will be on February 16 and 17 against Canisius. Senior Day for the Colonials will be the home finale against the Golden Griffins.

RMU’s last road trip ends in Colorado Springs, Colo., as the Colonials take on Air Force in one final AHA battle before seeds are determined for the conference playoff tournament.

The Colonials look forward to a fresh slate two years removed from the program’s discontinuation.
