After posting a 5-10 overall record last season and 4-5 record in the ASUN, the Colonials will now move back to the Northeast Conference (NEC), beginning their season in Ann Arbor, taking on the Michigan Wolverines in an exhibition game on January 25th. The Colonials will face the Wolverines for the second consecutive year.
RMU’s next match will take place a few weeks later, when they travel down to Virginia to take on the Richmond Spiders on February 8, followed by a trip to High Point University in North Carolina on February 15.
RMU takes on the St. Bonaventure Bonnies in their home opener at Joe Walton Stadium on February 18, before traveling to upstate New York to take on Canisius in Buffalo on the 22nd.
Beginning at the top of March, RMU will play the Hobart Statesmen at home on the first of the month, Bellarmine in Louisville, Kentucky on the 8th, and then Penn State at State College on the 12th.
RMU opens NEC play at Detroit Mercy on March 15th, before returning home against Wagner and Mercyhurst on March 22nd and 29th, before a single away game vs. Long Island University on April 5th.
They’ll return home for two games against the Virginia Military Institute and Cleveland State on April 12th and 19th.
RMU will close out the regular season against Le Moyne on April 26th.
The last time the Colonials played a full season in the NEC was in 2019, when the team went 9-8 overall, 4-2 in conference, and won the NEC championship. They would go on to lose against No. 3 ranked Virginia in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
