The Colonials are fresh to the Horizon League and will have a ten-game schedule, facing all ten teams once. They will begin in just two weeks on the road on February 4 at Oakland.
Throughout their season, the Colonials will have an even spread of five home games and five away. Following Oakland, the team will be at home for two games versus Cleveland State on February 10 and IUPUI shortly after on February 16.
Their other home games include Purdue-Fort Wayne on March 6, Northern Kentucky on March 18, and Wright State on March 30.
Following their two February home games, Robert Morris will be back on the road at Green Bay on February 22. From then on out it is a home-away match pattern, having their following away games against UIC on March 12, then against Detroit Mercy on March 24, and finishing their season at Milwaukee on April 5.
Brand new opponents for Robert Morris will be IUPUI, Fort Wayne, and Milwaukee. Throughout their history, they have faced Cleveland State 17 times, with the Vikings taking 11 wins in the historical matchups between the Colonials and Vikings.
UIC took the Horizon League title in the previous season, so they could be Robert Morris’s heaviest competition.
Three seniors, Corey Cunningham, Roald Aas Ravlum, and Oeyvind Skjesol will return on the roster to guide the team. New this season are four transfers and five freshmen.
Leading the team for his first time with the Colonials is head coach Jason O’Keefe. Previously, O’Keefe was the head coach at Appalachian State for four years where he led the Mountaineers to back-to-back winning seasons in 2018 and 2019.
O’Keefe looks to set the course for a similar winning record for Robert Morris. The Colonials had a 4-11-2 record in 2019, often struggling to put the ball in the net.
The team is ready for a fresh start, and it is time to see what Robert Morris soccer can do with a new coach, players, and a new season.
