After a nineteen-year absence from the NCAA Men’s Soccer Tournament, the Robert Morris men’s soccer team is back after their automatic bid following their first Horizon League Tournament title.
On Monday afternoon, the NCAA released their bracket for this year’s tournament. The Colonials will begin their tournament run going against the Michigan Wolverines who were given an at-large bid following their 1-0 loss to Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship.
The Colonials are going into this matchup 9-6-3 on the season with a Horizon League Tournament Title looking to extend their season as the Wolverines will look to improve their 8-4-7 record after a loss in the Big Ten Championship.
The Colonials will be appearing in the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in school history, first time since 2005 where they lost to West Virginia 1-0. The Wolverines have also missed the past five NCAA Tournaments going back to their last appearance when they made it to the Sweet 16 in 2019.
Jonathan Potter and the Colonials will be looking for their first NCAA Tournament win in program history.
The game will kick off at 7 p.m on Thursday, Nov. 21st.
