Natalie Villaflor commits to Mount St. Mary’s

Senior guard/forward Natalie Villaflor has committed to Mount St. Mary’s, she announced via social media earlier in the week.

Villaflor confirmed with Colonial Sports Network that she will be joining the Mountaineers for the upcoming season.

Villaflor averaged 4.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game in the 2021-22 season. She started the final three 2021-22 season games, including two postseason games against Purdue Fort Wayne and IUPUI.

In her four-year career in Moon Township, she averaged 3.3 points per game and 2.5 rebounds per game and scored a career-high 14 points against UIC on Feb. 24 in Chicago.

The Ashburn, Virginia native was a part of head coach Charlie Buscaglia’s back-to-back NEC championship teams in 2019 and 2020.

In the Robert Morris’ NCAA Tournament appearance in 2018-19, Villaflor scored a team-high 13 points and grabbed three rebounds in the 69-34 loss to Louisville.

Villaflor will use her last remaining year of eligibility in Emmitsburg, Maryland as the Mount is expected to move from the Northeast Conference to the MAAC.
