Robert Morris men’s lacrosse goalkeeper Nate Fechter earned his third NEC Defensive Player of the Week honor, the conference announced Monday.
Fechter was a stone wall in Robert Morris’ dominant 14-4 win against Cleveland State as he allowed only three goals against the Vikings. He also tallied 10 saves and tallied a .769 save percentage.
Fechter is also ranked third for two major goalkeeping stats which is goals against average (10.14), save percentage (.566).
Fechter wasn’t the only Colonial this week to receive honors as senior midfielder Nick Pelletier was an NEC Prime Performer of the week. Pelletier recorded a hat trick on senior day against the Vikings.
The Colonials (9-4) who are undefeated in conference play (6-0) and at home (7-0) will be taking on the Le Moyne Dolphins, April 26 at 2 p.m.
With a victory the Colonials will clinch the NEC regular season title and home field advantage throughout the NEC Tournament.
