Robert Morris men’s lacrosse goaltender Nate Fetcher was named the Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Fetcher had a 7.0 goals against average and .640 save percentage. He made 13 saves and collected a pair of ground balls in the Colonials’ win over St. Bonaventure. He also had 13 saves in Friday’s win over Canisius.
His .505 save percentage on the season ranks third in the NEC.
Bo Columbus and David Burr were named as NEC Prime Performers.
Columbus had four ground balls against St. Bonaventure, and set a season-high seven against Canisius.
Burr scored four goals and two-assist game, including assisting the game winning goal and causing two turnovers Tuesday. The junior added two more goals and scooped up three ground balls on Saturday.
After sweeping the week, the Colonials are now an even 2-2 record and will face Hobart at home Saturday at 2 p.m.
