MOON TOWNSHIP- Robert Morris football was geared up to host Monmouth for both their home opener and Big South opener, but they will have to wait to do so as their game has been postponed due to a positive COVID test within the Colonials’ program.
RMU has not played since February 27 when they were in Harrisonburg, Virginia for a match with then-no. 2 James Madison, now the no. 1 team in the country, in a game tied 16-16 at halftime but the Colonials dropped 36-16 to the Dukes.
Monmouth was set to travel to Moon Township for the first time since 2014, a game they routed the Colonials 51-20 on October 4 of that season.
Robert Morris will wait another week for their next game when they travel to Buccaneer Field in Charleston, South Carolina to take on Charleston Southern for the first time in program history on March 20.
