The specific details of the deal have yet to be released.
Toole has been apart of the Robert Morris coaching staff since 2007 and has been the head coach since 2010. Since his time here, the Colonials have been through a global pandemic and a conference change in 2020.
He has qualified for two NCAA Tournaments (2015, 2025) and three conference tournaments, since 2020’s tournament did not take place. He took the Colonials back to the Big Dance after struggling in the program’s first years in the Horizon League.
This season, Toole won Horizon League Coach of the Year and led the program to their first Horizon League regular season and tournament championship.
“[Robert Morris] gave me a chance to be the head coach of the university at 29 years old, which most places, that doesn’t happen,” Toole said. “It’s a unique place filled with special people. The way that people came out to support this team and this program. I’ll forever be thankful for that.”
Toole holds the program record for most coaching wins with 251. Now, with the extension Toole will look to add to his storied career, staying put in Moon.
