On Tuesday afternoon, Robert Morris University announced its entire men’s basketball slate for the upcoming 2022-23 season.

The schedule features four home non-conference tilts and ten home Horizon League games.

Let’s first look at the non-conference slate, as the Colonials will open up the year on the road in Columbus to take on Ohio State on Nov. 7 and will travel back to the Buckeye state on Nov. 19 to take on the University of Dayton.

Sandwiched in between those two Ohio games are two home buy games where RMU will face Pitt Greensburg on Nov. 9 and West Virginia Wesleyan on Nov. 16.

The Colonials will also participate in an MTE again this season. They will be traveling to Savannah, Georgia, during the Thanksgiving holiday to partake in the Hostilo Hoops Community Classic, where they will take on Mercer on Friday, Nov. 25 at 6:30 p.m., Evansville on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 9 p.m., and will wrap up the MTE with a bout against South Alabama on Sunday, Nov. 27 at 4 p.m.

They will then make their way out to Central Michigan to complete their contracted games with the Chippewas, who they last played at the UPMC Events Center in 2019. Following that game, Robert Morris will take on Marshall University at home on Dec. 10, which will begin their home-and-home series with the Thundering Herd, followed by their final road test of the non-conference schedule when they take Mount St. Mary’s in Maryland on Dec. 18.

The Colonials will wrap up their non-conference slate when they take on Saint Francis on Dec. 21 at the UPMC Events Center.

The Horizon League announced its full conference slate on Aug. 16, which features 20 league games that will begin on Dec. 1

Robert Morris looks to improve upon another rough season in the Horizon League after finishing in 10th place and making it to the Horizon League Quarterfinals, where they fell to Cleveland State.
