The Premier Lacrosse League is a newer professional lacrosse league that was established in 2018. The PLL has eight teams and is slowly but surely expanding its influence.
Smith has already been drafted into a separate professional lacrosse league as he was drafted to the Rochester Knighthawks in the National Lacrosse League in 2020. He became the fourth Colonial to be drafted in two different drafts, joining Zach Bryant, Tyson Gibson and Kiel Matisz.
It is too early to tell which team Smith will play for going forwards in his lacrosse career, but he still has a minimum of two games left to play in a Colonials uniform as RMU recently added Syracuse to their schedule.
RMU menβs lacrosse is back in action Saturday, May 1, where they play Utah on the road at 1:00 pm EST.
