Robert Morris women’s soccer goalkeeper Becky Schoenecker was named Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday for the second time this season.

The senior netminder recorded her third shutout of the year while making five saves in a 1-0 win over LIU Brooklyn on Friday, and then stopped three more in a 5-1 victory at Mount St. Mary’s Sunday.

Schoenecker has a 1.04 goals against average and a .842 save percentage this season.

The weekend sweep has moved the Colonials into the NEC playoff race, and they look next to a home matchup on Sep. 26th against St. Francis (Pa).
