RMU 7 (3-14), Monmouth 6 (3-4): It took the Colonials an extra inning of play but they were able to knock off Monmouth in their final game of the District Invite in Washington D.C. to earn their first victory since February 13th. Robert Morris was down 6-3 going into their half of the seventh but used two wild pitches and a double by senior Haileigh Stocks to knot the game at 6 each. RMU held Monmouth from scoring a go-ahead run in the eighth inning and then proceeded to win the game on a Lauren Hackett walk-off single which brought home sophomore Kristin Pray. Freshman Lacee Collins got the start for RMU in the circle but was later replaced by fellow freshman Kaitlin Ellzy in the fifth inning. Ellzy picked up her third win in a Robert Morris uniform as she recorded the win. Ellzy gave up one run while striking out five opposing batters. Stocks led RMU in RBI’s with two and Ashley Gerhart led the Colonials in hits with three.
