Taylor Rhinehart named Horizon League Player of the Week

On Tuesday, Robert Morris softball graduate student Taylor Rhinehart was selected as Horizon League Player of the Week.

Rhinehart earned the honor after batting a whopping .615 with five extra-base hits and drove in four runs this week.

She helped the Colonials go 3-0 in conference play for the first time since 2017, back when they were in the Northeast Conference.

She led the Colonials to an opening conference series sweep against Detroit Mercy.

Rhinehart is hitting .300 with 11 runs batted in and three home runs this season, including five doubles credited to her name.

After completing their doubleheader against Akron Tuesday afternoon, the Colonials are headed out to Chicago to take on UIC to continue Horizon League play on Friday at 5:00 p.m.
