Harvey had two interceptions in the Colonials’ loss to Utah State on Saturday, both of which came 2:33 apart on back-to-back drives in the first quarter.
The former Eastern Illinois Panther played in his Colonial debut with those two picks, returning them for a total of 31 yards with one tackle and one pass breakup.
He and running back Tyvon Edmonds Jr. were named the conference’s Prime Performers. The Merrimack transfer had 115 all-purpose yards, rushing for 86 yards and five receptions.
Harvey and the Colonials look to build on the award when they take on Edinboro on Saturday night at Joe Walton Stadium. The home opener is scheduled to kickoff at 6 P.M.
