RMU Men’s Soccer ended their weekend on a high note defeating Bowling Green.

Volleyball:
September 11, 2015
New Mexico State 3 (6-3), RMU 0 (5-3): The Colonials started play in the Borderland Invitational Friday morning in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The start to the weekend was not what Robert Morris had in mind as the outcome was a 3-0 loss against the Aggies. New Mexico State won in three straight sets, 25-16, 25-11, and 25-15. Junior Arden Fisher led the Colonials in kills with seven.

UTEP 3 (4-5), RMU 1 (5-4): In game two of the day for the Colonials in the Borderland Invitational Friday Night in El Paso Texas, RMU lost a four set match to UTEP. Robert Morris lost the first set 25-12 but came back with a 26-24 win in the following set. However, UTEP was able to take the third and fourth sets 25-20 and 25-18 to hand the Colonials their fourth loss of the year. Arden Fisher led the Colonials as she picked a double-double, number five for the season for Fisher with her 11 kill and 25 dig performance. Liz Campbell finished with 39 assists.

Marshall 3 (4-1), RMU 1 (3-2): The Colonials battled Marshall Friday evening in Huntington, West Virginia. Marshall’s three-goal first half performance was enough to lead them to victory. Down 1-0, still in the first half, sophomore Jake Cooper tied the score for RMU in the 13th minute at 1 apiece. Robert Morris was not able to find the back of the net for the remainder of the game. Goaltender Brenden Alfery finished the game with eight saves for Robert Morris. As a team, the Colonials finished with 15 shots.

Women’s Soccer:

Ohio 3 (1-5), RMU 0 (1-5): Robert Morris took on Ohio Friday night in Athens Ohio. The outcome was not what Robert Morris was looking for as Ohio scored two first half goals and one goal in the second half. RMU finished with eight shots and was unable to get one past Ohio goalie Taylor Smith. Chelsea De Jager received the loss for RMU but finished with ten total saves.

Volleyball:
September 12, 2015
Brown 3 (3-4), RMU 0 (5-5): The Colonials fell to Brown Saturday in their final match of the weekend in the Borderland Invitational. Brown won 25-16, 25-18 in the first two sets and squeezed out a 26-24 win in the third set. Senior Kristen Thompson and junior Arden fisher led RMU offensively as each finished with five kills. Freshman Taylor Lord had 18 digs and Liz Campbell finished with 18 assists.

RMU 1 (4-2), Bowling Green 0 (5-1): In Huntington, West Virginia, The Colonials came away with a 1-0 Sunday afternoon victory as senior Neco Brett scored the only goal RMU would need to leave with the road victory. Brett scored his goal in the 20th minute. Brenden Alfery picked up the shutout and the win for the Colonials with his nine save performance in net.
