The Horizon League has ranked Robert Morris women’s basketball 11th in the conference, following a challenging end to the 2023-24 season, which saw the team finish with an 18-game losing streak.
This tough stretch prompted the Colonials to part ways with former longtime head coach Charlie Buscaglia, whom Chandler McCabe succeeded. As McCabe embarks on this new season, she aims to reset the program’s trajectory and avoid a program-record 19th consecutive loss.
While the coaching staff has changed, the core of the team remains strong, with returning players Danielle Vuletich and Simone Morris ready to lead the Colonials to success. Additionally, the roster has been bolstered by graduate transfers Mya Murray and Jada Lee, who are eager to make an impact.
The Colonials boast a veteran lineup, with only one freshman, Jennica Suggs, a guard from Central Florida Christian Academy, joining the team.
The season kicks off on Nov. 6, when the Colonials face off against their city rivals, the Point Park Pioneers, at 7 p.m..
