RMU 12 (4-1), Detroit 10 (2-4): Monday afternoon, the Colonials kept their winning ways going as they defeated Detroit by two goals at Joe Walton Stadium on Robert Morris’s campus. The Colonials went into halftime with a 6-2 lead and then increased that lead to 11-5 with a little more than half to go in the game. However, Detroit had fight in them, as they were able to narrow the deficit to two goals. Nevertheless, the Colonials were able to hold on for the win, as they did not allow Detroit to get another scoring opportunity in the last 89 seconds of regulation play. Robert Morris got a nice scoring performance from junior Corey Karwacki who tallied five total goals. Both Dana Davis and Brittany Byerly finished with three goals apiece. Mackenzie Duffy received the win as she stopped 10 balls that made her way towards the net. RMU out shot their opponent 38-27.
