RMU was unable to stay undefeated in NEC play Friday as the Blue Devils over powered the Colonials 11-8

Central Connecticut State 11 (2-10, NEC 1-2), RMU 8 (6-6, NEC 2-1): The Colonials battled CCSU Friday in New Britain, Connecticut but it wasn’t the outcome RMU was hoping for. CCSU defeated RMU by three goals to pick up their first conference win of the season and hand the Colonials their first conference loss of the season. The Blue Devils jumped on the Colonials early scoring the game’s first five goals. Robert Morris could only muster two first half goals and found themselves down  9-2 at the midway point. between the 15:00 and 5:56 mark of the second half, RMU used a four goal run to get within two scores, 10-8, but CCSU tacked on one more goal and held off the Colonials for the victory. Seniors Emily Jamison, Corey Karwacki and freshman Maggie Stella led RMU in goals with two each. Goalie Sarah Arnold received the loss for the Colonials in net giving up eight goals and making one save.
