Cincinnati 8 (2-2), RMU 7 (0-3): The Colonials fell one goal short of earning their first victory of the season in a tight contest against Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio. RMU opened the game on a three goal run via two Corey Karwacki goals and one from Dana Davis. The Bearcats got within one goal moments later when they scored back-to-back goals. Robert Morris held a 4-3 edge at halftime. Karwacki extended RMU’s lead to 5-3 with an early second half goal. However, Cincinnati went on another two-goal run, tying the game. Brittany Byerly gave RMU the lead once again at the 14:36 mark, but Cincinnati used a three goal run to take an 8-6 lead. Byerly scored her second goal of the game to get her team within one one goal with 13 seconds left, but the Bearcats held on for the win. Freshman Sarah Arnold received the loss for the Colonials on goal.
