After one of the best seasons in program history, women’s soccer head coach Chris Shaw will leave Robert Morris and accept the head coaching job at Temple.
Shaw was the head coach for the Colonials for four seasons and set a program record of 12 wins in 2023.
“I have truly enjoyed my time as a Colonial,” said Shaw. “I’d like to thank Chris King for the opportunity, and I look forward to the continued success of the women’s soccer program at RMU. Although I am excited for this new opportunity, I am sad to leave RMU and will miss the players and my coworkers.”
Shaw led the program to their first Horizon League Tournament appearance this past season and defeated Wright State 4-1 in the quarterfinals.
“We want to thank Coach Shaw for his dedication and service to RMU,” said Athletic Director Chris King. “[He] was my first head coach hire at RMU and has made an impact within our department and our women’s soccer program over the past four years, including a program record in wins this past year. We understand and respect his decision and wish him continued personal and professional success at Temple University.”
A national search for Shaw’s successor will begin immediately.
