Moon Knight Review: What is next for Marvel
The next new Marvel Disney Plus show, Moon Knight, had a trailer premiere during the Monday night NFL Super Wild Card matchup. It gave a glimpse of the chaos that Steven Grant, played by Oscar Isaac, goes through in his origin story to becoming the next marvel hero, Moon Knight.
As for the what we know so far, Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Grant discovers that he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary, Marc Spector.
As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, one of those villains being played by Ethan Hawk, they must navigate their complex identities while being thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.
One reason why I enjoyed just this trailer was for the story of the main character Steven. In fact, Steven will be one of the only characters in the MCU with a disorder. Along with this, we will see if this disorder is a crutch or a strength for Steven Grant.
Another reason I am hyped up for this new show is because of the other Marvel shows on Disney plus. All of the previous shows, (Wanda vision, Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Loki and Hawkeye) are all going to be connected to the future movies of the MCU. Moon Knight will most likely follow in these footsteps.
The series arrives on Disney Plus on March 30th, and I cannot wait for more marvel shows in the future!
