Police Blotter 10/17/18-10/22/18

10/17/18- Fire Alarm- Guardian reported a fire alarm activated in Salem Hall. Officers checked the building and found the cause to be from the residents cooking. Maintenance was notified to reset the alarm system. (closed)

10/17/18- Accident- A Staff member reported bumping into a vehicle in the Gazebo lot. Both parties checked over their vehicles and found no damage done. A report was issued for information purposes. (closed)

10/18/18- Student Conduct- Residence Life reported a smell of marijuana in Hamilton Hall. The students involved were advised they would be sent through Student Conduct for their actions.(closed)

10/19/18- Student Conduct- A student reported a case of water taken from outside of Washington Hall. The person who took the water was identified, and the water was returned to the owner. The student involved will sent through Student Conduct for their actions.(closed)

10/19/18- Recovered Property- Residence Life turned over a piece of drug paraphernalia that was found in Adams Hall. The paraphernalia was photographed and then destroyed. (closed)

10/19/18- Medical Emergency- A student was in need of medical attention at Admissions. Valley Ambulance transported the student to Allegheny General Hospital for treatment.(closed)

10/19/18- Fire Alarm- Guardian reported a fire alarm activated in Lexington Hall. The cause for the alarm was smoke from the oven. Maintenance was notified to reset the alarm system. (closed)

10/19/18- Fire Alarm- Guardian reported a fire alarm activated in Hancock Hall. The cause for the alarm was a curling iron. Maintenance was notified to reset the fire alarm. (closed)

10/20/18- Criminal Mischief- Parkhurst reported vandalism in the male restroom of the Yorktown Café. This incident is under investigation at this time. (open)

10/21/18- Disturbance- Officers were called to Washington Hall for a noise complaint. Upon arrival, officers could not hear anything that would warrant any type of interaction. (closed)

10/21/18- Fire Alarm- Guardian reported a fire alarm activation in Lexington Hall. The cause for the alarm was from the residents cooking. Maintenance was notified to reset the alarm system. (closed)

10/21/18- Medical Emergency- The Rec Center called and requested an ambulance for an injured student. Valley Ambulance transported the student to a hospital for treatment. (closed)

10/22/18- Fire Alarm- Guardian reported a fire alarm activated in Salem Hall. The cause for the alarm was from the residents cooking. Maintenance was advised to reset the alarm system. (closed)
