Police Blotter 10/15/13 – 10/22/13
10/15/13 – Theft – An employee reported their jacket taken from Massey Hall. The cameras will be reviewed in an attempt to locate any suspects involved. (Open)
10/15/13 – Departmental Information – Residence Life requested officer assistance while speaking with a student in Yorktown Hall. Officers responded and assisted without incident. (Closed)
10/16/13 – Theft – A student reported money taken from their wallet in Monroe Hall. This incident is under investigation at this time. (Open)
10/16/13 – Medical Emergency – This department was advised of an employee experiencing an asthma attack in the Nicholson kitchen. Valley Ambulance arrived and transported the employee to Sewickley Valley Hospital for treatment. (Closed)
10/17/13 – Disorderly Conduct – Two students were found smoking marijuana in a vehicle outside of Braddock Hall. Both students were issued citations and will be sent through Judicial Affairs. (Closed)
10/18/13 – Traffic Stop – A traffic stop was conducted for a stop sign violation. The driver was issued a warning and officers cleared. (Closed)
10/18/13 – Personal Injury – This department was advised that an employee tripped over a carpet while entering the Sewall Center arena. The employee refused medical treatment and advised they wanted a report on file. (Closed)
10/18/13 – Accident – This department was advised of a minor accident in the Student Center parking lot. Both parties exchanged information and a report was written for insurance purposes. (Closed)
10/18/13- Property Damage – This department was advised that a chandelier had fallen in the AXP lounge at Yorktown Hall. An investigation was conducted and it has been determined that the chandelier did not fall on its own. The students involved will be responsible for the damages. (Closed)
10/18/13 – Disturbance Residence life reported a fight in Lexington Hall. Officers responded and found the incident to be an altercation between brothers. Both parties were advised that this incident will be handled through Judicial Affairs. (Closed)
10/18/13 – Underage Drinking – This department was advised of an intoxicated male urinating behind the curtain at the homecoming dance. The student was charged and transported to Coraopolis PD for lodging. (Closed)
10/19/13 – Student Conduct Alcohol – Residence Life reported a loud party on the second floor of Ross Hall. Upon arrival, the residents of the room were the only people present. Residence Life handled the call and the alcohol was disposed of. This incident will be handled through Judicial Affairs. (Closed)
10/19/13 – Careless Driving – A traffic stop was conducted for a vehicle driving with the headlights off. The driver was given a warning for the headlights. (Closed)
10/19/13 – Suspicious Incident – This department was advised of a possible domestic in Washington Hall. Upon officers arrival it was determined that a verbal argument was the cause and both parties were calmed down. No further action required from this department. (Closed)
10/19/13 – Student Conduct Alcohol – An intoxicated male fell into the wall on the third floor of Sewall Center during the homecoming game. The student was transported to Sewickley Valley Hospital by Valley Ambulance. The student will be held responsible for the damages done to the wall. (Closed)
10/19/13 – Underage Drinking – This department was advised of an intoxicated female in the restroom at Nicholson Center. The female was transported to Sewickley Hospital by Valley Ambulance, and was cited for underage drinking and public drunkenness. (Closed)
10/19/13 – Medical Emergency – A female fell in tailgate alley dislocating her finger. Medical attention was given by a team doctor, who was able to set the finger. The female was advised to go to the hospital for further treatment but refused. (Closed)
10/19/13 – Accident – This department was advised of a minor accident in the Barry Center lot. All pertinent information was obtained and a report was written for insurance purposes. (Closed)
10/19/13 – Student Conduct Alcohol – This department was advised of an intoxicated male passed out in Monroe Hall. Upon officers arrival the student in question was woken up by officers. The student did not show any signs of being intoxicated and there was no odor of alcohol present. Officers cleared. (Closed)
10/19/13 – Disturbance – This department was advised of a loud party in Adams Hall with possible alcohol. Officers responded and found no alcohol to be present, and the residents were playing video games. (Closed)
10/20/13 – Criminal Mischief – A student reported the spare tire removed from the bed of his truck in the Colonial Way lot, and the vehicle will not start. No damage visible damage was done to the vehicle, and a report was written. (Closed)
10/20/13 – Theft – This department was advised by a student in Yorktown Hall that their laundry was taken. The cameras will be reviewed in an attempt to locate any suspects involved. (Open)
10/20/13 – Suspicious Incident – This department was advised of someone damaging clothing that was left in a women’s rest room at the Island Sports Center. This incident is currently under investigation. (Open)
10/20/13 – Medical Emergency – A student suffered a head and neck injury while playing flag football at Joe Walton Stadium. Valley Ambulance arrived and transported the student to Allegheny General Hospital. Closed
