1/16/2023: Departmental Information: A student reported their email account was possibly compromised and they are being harassed on social media. RMU Detectives are investigating this incident. This case is closed.

1/18/2023: Medical Emergency: Allegheny County 911 reported a medical emergency at Joe Walton Station. Medics responded and evaluated the patient. The patient was transported to the hospital. The case is closed.

1/18/2023: Departmental Information: A student reported an incident to RMU Police. Residence Life was notified. The case is closed.

1/18/2023: Fire Alarm-False Activation: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in the Hale Center. Officers responded and found the cause to be RMU Maintenance working on a sprinkler head. Fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. This case is closed.

1/18/2023: Welfare Check: A parent requested a welfare check on their student. RMU Police notified Residence Life to meet officers at Marshall Hall. Officers made contact with the student. The parent was notified their student is safe. The case is closed.

1/19/2023: Suspicious Incident: The Senior Manager of Environmental Services reported suspected marijuana in the Wheatley Center. Officers responded and retrieved the item. This case is closed.

1/19/2023: Departmental Information: A student reported a possible online scam via email. Several other students reported the same email. RMU Police and the RMU IT department are looking into this incident. The case is closed.

1/20/2023: Suspicious Incident: A student reported unusual behavior displayed by another student off campus. RMU Police notified other campus resources and attempted to locate the student. This case is closed.

1/21/2023: Welfare Check: Residence Life reported a student sleeping in the elevator at Yorktown Hall. RMU Police responded and located the student. They were escorted to their room without incident. The case is closed.

1/21/2023: Fire Alarm-Smoke Detector Activated: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Salem Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be burnt cooking oil. RMU Maintenance was notified. Fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. This case is closed.

1/21/2023: Departmental Information: A RMU Island Sports Center Public Safety Officer was approached by a visitor who reported a disorderly patron. Officer located the patron and advised them to leave the building due to their inappropriate language. They apologized and left the rink with no further issues. The case is closed.

1/22/2023: Medical Emergency: Alleghany County 911 reported medics responded to Lexington Hall for an intoxicated person. Officers responded and contacted Residence Life. Medics evaluated the patient and transported to the hospital. Three non-students will be trespassed. This case is closed.

1/22/2023: Departmental Information: A RMU Island Sports Center Public Safety Officer reported and documented an inappropriate conversation with a contracted employee. The company supervisor was advised of this incident.

1/22/2023: Medical Emergency: RMU Island Sports Center Public Safety Officer was informed about an injured hockey player on the Stadium Rink. The player refused medics and was transported to the hospital by a parent. This case is closed.

1/23/2023: Fire Alarm-Smoke Detector Activated: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in the Hale Center. Officers responded and found the alarm panel normal. RMU Maintenance was notified. Fire department arrived and checked the building. There were no signs of smoke or fire. The case is closed.

1/23/2023: Personal Injury: A student reported they fell down icy steps between the Franklin Center and the Jefferson Center. RMU Maintenance was notified to salt the area. Pictures were taken and added to the report. This case is closed.

1/23/2023: Medical Emergency: Student reported a medical emergency in Washington Hall. Officers responded and escorted medics to the patient. The patient refused transportation to the hospital. Residence Life was notified. The case is closed.
