01/28/2025: Medical Emergency– Officers and medics responded to the counseling center for an individual in a mental health crisis. Medics transported the individual to the Hospital. This case is closed.
01/29/2025: Harassment– Officers responded to a dispute of 2 students in a verbal argument over loud music in the Yorktown Hall. Officers spoke to both parties involved and generated a student conduct report. This case is closed.
01/30/2025: Welfare Check– Officers located a student who could not be reached by phone by their parents. Officers located the student in his car in the Colonial lot and stood by while he called his parents. This case is closed
01/30/2025: Theft of Property Mislaid- Officers took a theft report of a missing camera from the RMU mail room. The package was delivered by Amazon and now cannot be found. This case is ongoing.
01/30/2025: Lost & Found– Officers took possession of drawings found in the UPMC event center. Officers determined ownership and attempted to contact the owner by phone. A message was left and the property was placed in the lost and found. This case is closed.
01/31/2025: Departmental Information– Officers on patrol discovered a non-RMU person playing basketball in the John Jay Gym. Officers identified the individuals and put them on notice for trespass. Officers stood by while the individuals left. This case is closed.
02/01/2025: Student Conduct; Alcohol- Officers were called to a dorm to assist RES Life with a student who was intoxicated. Medics checked the student who was deemed ok. This incident has been referred to student conduct. This case is closed.
01/31/2025: Lost & Found- Officers took possession of a drivers license that was turned in. Officers located and contacted the owner. The license will be in the lost and found until picked up. This case is closed.
02/01/2025: Departmental Information- Officers are investigating a No Parking paper left on a student vehicle. The paper was not issued by the RMU police. This case is closed.
02/02/2025: Departmental Information- Officers on patrol discovered a pick-up truck registered to an RMU student with a state-handicapped parking sign in the bed of the truck. Officers contacted the student who claimed they had no knowledge of where the sign came from. Officers took possession of the sign. Officers did determine that the sign did not come from RMU property. This case is closed.
02/02/2025: Departmental Information– Officers responded to the ISC on Neville Island for a verbal argument between adult parents of Hockey Players. Ohio Twp. Police also responded. Officers only spoke with half of the persons involved the other parties had already left the area. Officers will contact the others by phone for a statement. This case is ongoing.
02/03/2025: Fire Alarm-Smoke Detector Activated- A student from 102 Salem Hall called to report they set the smoke detector off with an air fryer. An officer confirmed and canceled the fire department and reset the fire panel. This case is closed.
02/03/2025: Traffic Stop- Black VW GTI 2 Door Coupe. The vehicle was speeding on Colonial Dr and turned Right onto Campus Dr. Stop imitated a verbal warning and was issued a speed violation. This case is closed.
