Departmental Information: A RMU Professor reported damage to the Wheatley Center Café. RMU Detectives reviewed the cameras and were able to identify possible suspects. This case is closed.

Fire: A student reported a fire outside of Yorktown Hall. Officers responded and located a fire burning near the Café loading dock. Officers used fire extinguishers to put out the flames. Moon Fire arrived to prevent any flare ups. The case is closed.

Departmental Information: An OVG employee reported an altercation during the concert in the UPMC Events Center. Officers responded and located the victim. Medics treated the victim. The victim did not want to press charges. This case is closed.

Medical Emergency: Allegheny County 911 Dispatch reported Valley Ambulance was responding to Salem Hall for the medical emergency. Officer responded and located the student. They were evaluated by medics and refused transportation. The case is closed.

Fire Alarm-Smoke Detector Activated: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Ross Hall. Officer responded and found the cause to be a broken smoke detector head. RMU Maintenance was notified. Fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. This case is closed.

Suspicious Person: RMU EST reported an individual sleeping in a closet in Yorktown Hall. Officers responded and identified the student. They were escorted back to their room. Residence Life was notified. The case is closed.

Fire Alarm-Smoke Detector Activated: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Salem Hall. Officer responded and found the cause to be a student smoking marijuana. RMU Maintenance was notified. Fire department was on scene. The panel was reset. One student will be sent through Student Conduct. This case is closed.

Departmental Information: A student reported to Residence Life that an unknown person entered their room in Adams Hall. RMU Detective reviewed the cameras and did not view anyone matching the description. Res Life and the student were advised. The case is closed.

Property Damage (misc. item(s)): RMU Men’s Soccer coach reported a player had punched out a window in the UPMC Events Center. Officers arrived and took pictures of the damage. RMU Maintenance was advised. The student will be sent through Student Conduct. This case is closed.
