Scott Mirkin, live event and broadcast producer of ESM Production, was the speaker for the Event Planning session. I liked knowing he had a very creditable background along with many of the other speakers because I enjoy being apart of the professional world. Mirkin was the main person in charge of the Jay-z concert this past 4th of July in Washington, DC. He also produced the Comcast main studio. According to Mirkin to be a producer, you also need to have a background in product design, product management and product execution experience. Event Planning can be a pretty fun job but also stressful because things can be very unpredictable in that field.
